There are 40 two-bedroom bungalows which are custom-designed tents (wooden structures with canvas wrap) on raised wooden platforms of 350-500 square feet. There are 40 environmentally friendly eco-tourism tents which have two-bedrooms with a queen or 2 twin beds and include solar-powered lights, ceiling fans, queen beds and spacious lanais.
Private bathrooms feature self-composting flushing toilets and showers with solar-powered hot running water. More activities include whale watching boat tours (December-May), nature walks, local kapuna (teachers or mentors) "talking story" many evenings, and many equestrian activities (additional cost for activities). No telephones or televisions available.
Nestled amid swaying palms on a beautiful double-crescent white sand beach, Kaupoa Beach Village is the ultimate escape. Accommodations consist of 40 luxurious two-bedroom canvas bungalows featuring queen or twin sized beds, solar-powered lights and hot water showers, and ceiling fans, spacious lanais, outdoor picnic areas, and private bathrooms. Daily maid service is provided.
Every meal is memorable at Kaupoa. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared-to-order and served in an open-air dining pavilion situated a few steps from the rolling surf.
