Napili Surf

"Hi Joyce!! We are finally getting back to normal around here after our INCREDIBLE VACATION to Hawaii. We had a grand time. We would go back to Maui in a heartbeat, but won't be going back to Honolulu ever. Too busy!! We saw all the touristy things which we don't need to see again on Oahu. Napili Surf was fantastic!! The accommodations were just what we needed and the view of the ocean was beautiful. Next time we would definitely reserve a ground floor room. The stairs were not too good for my knees. But we did wait too long to reserve. We met so many nice people. The management was great. The night before we left, I left some clothes in the laundry after 5:00 PM. The manager let me in and just asked me to lock up when I was finished. He was great!! The pool was wonderful and the beach was great. My husband is the sand person; I am not. So we were both happy. We would recommend this resort to all. But next time we would visit after school starts. There were a lot of kids. We would have this time if it hadn't been for the American Legion National Convention being in August. We ate at so many great restaurants. The Jeep rental was FUN!! We were all over that island. We took the road to Hana and came back on the southern route. Beautiful, but scary!! We traveled the northern route on West Maui back from Wailuli (??). That was awesome!! And Haleakala was awesome. We should have gone up at sunrise, but we didn't. One of the fellows I work with went to Maui over Labor Day and did the sunrise trip to Haleakala. Sorry we missed that. But the best part of the entire trip was the helicopter ride over West Maui and Molokaii. That was a trip to behold!! We bought the video of our trip. When I watched it after we returned home, I had tears in my eyes. After we left Hawaii, we met our two sons in San Francisco and did the Napa Valley tour. We visited nine wineries and stayed at the Embassy Suites in Napa. A beautiful place. I would highly recommend it. Thank you so much for all of your help in planning this vacation.
