"Aloha Joyce, My wife and I recently had the good fortune to spend a week in a beachfront rental home, booked through your agency, on the north shore of Kauai and we wanted to share with you our 'Incredible Journey'. The house we stayed in is called Waipuna ( Hawaiian for 'spring water' ) and the name is appropriate as streams from a spring meander through the 4 acre property. If there is a more peaceful and beautiful place on Earth we would sure like to see it. This particular house has a view of the ocean on one side and a view of 'Bali Hai' on the other. To say that this house is 'Heaven on Earth' is a great understatement. On the day we arrived we were greeted by a full rainbow that seemed to frame the house. Even with the rainbow, sunshine fell on us as if there were a sort of devine approval of our arrival. One of the many advantages of a rental house is the privacy and intimacy of natural events that you don't have to share with everyone else. We witnessed Humpback Whales by the dozens breaching just beyond our private beach and reef and one day we watched in awe while 30 to 35 foot waves broke with unbridled fury just beyond that same reef. The advantages of staying in a rental house are numerous. First of all you usually pick up the keys to the house at the car rental agency. And since all the paperwork for the property you have rented has been done before you've arrived there are no long lines in the lobby of some hotel. Another great advantage is being able to wake-up in the morning and go outside with a cup of coffee ( or a Bloody Mary ) and not have to be concerned with crowds of people you've never met just to appreciate the beautiful Hawaiian sunrises and the peaceful mornings. And after you've enjoyed the beach for a while you don't have to drag all of your beach gear through a crowded hotel lobby and elevator just to get back to your room. At night, following an incredible sunset, the peace and quiet is something you will never get at a resort. And the stars, OMG, chances are you've never seen so many. In closing my wife and I would like to add our most heartfelt recommendation to future visitors of Kauai to consider a rental home. It's not for everyone however we truly believe that this is a vacation option that more people should consider. Thank you for being one of the few travel agencies that give their clients the option between any hotel or resort and also the option of a rental home or condo.
