There are four bedrooms, two on the lower level and two on the upper level where the kitchen, dining area and living room are located. The deck off the living room is comfortably furnished and thoroughly enticing. New appliances have been installed with granite counter tops in the kitchen. An enclosed outdoor shower is an added bonus.

The ocean, coupled with long stretches of sparsely populated beaches, is just beyond the trees and is within a 5 minute or so walk from your Hawaiian home. Mapuana is a short distance from Ke'e Beach at the end of the road and close to the magnificent Na Pali Coast. The 11-mile Kalalau Trail, which winds along the rugged Na Pali coastline crossing one stunning beach after another, begins at Ke'e. And you don't have to hike the trail to find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

"Good morning Joyce, Rodney & I totally enjoyed our stay at Mapuana Feb. 15-22. The Dollar rental car worked well and we picked up directions & keys to Mapuana at the rental car counter. We knew the general area where Mapuana was located, but it took a couple of tries before we found the right driveway. The house was clean and totally ready for us. It's a beautiful remodeled home with slate and wood floors. The lower level contains the main entrance, 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds each, and a bathroom. The stairs lead up to the main level with 2 more bedrooms with queen beds, 1 bathroom, a large living/family room and very large and well appointed kitchen. We found everything we needed to cook great meals with the local fish from the Dolphin fish market in Hanalei and produce from the local farmers' markets. The nearby beach was beautiful.
