Kilauea Lodge

A mile from the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park entrance, this country inn is possibly the most elegant place to stay in the area.

This well-known thirteen-room bed & breakfast lodge in Volcano Village, originally built in 1938 for the YMCA, continues to hold preferred status among visitors.

Guests may enjoy rooms with fireplaces in the original Hale Maluna Building or rooms in the newer Hale Aloha Building.

There are a total of 11 rooms which are decorated with traditional Hawaiian quilts, Hawaiian photographs, European antiques, towel warmers and some have wood burning stoves. There are also two separate cottages.

The Lodge has a wonderful dining room where full breakfast is served to guests. In the evening a fire glows in the historic fireplace, with dinner service open to the public.

There is also a hot tub, common room with fireplace and library, games, phone and TV. The rooms are nonsmoking.
