Bora Bora
Bora Bora, "The Pearl of Polynesia," is home to one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Novelist James Michener wrote that Bora Bora is "the most beautiful island in the world." The island is graced by a lagoon with translucent waters of immeasurable beauty. Bora Bora is ringed by motus with sparkling white beaches from which you can see the voluminous Mount Otemanu shooting up into the dazzling blue sky from every direction. This island truly offers the most dramatic beauty of any island in French Polynesia.
You can only get to Bora Bora by sea or plane. The airport is located on a motu, and the only way to get here is by boat. The boat ride to any of the properties or cruise ships is a memorable experience alone. Located about 150 miles northwest of Tahiti. Just 18 miles around, Bora Bora is the ideal South Pacific island.
