Ask Endora

Dear Endora,

In September’s newsletter one of the facts were that Alaskans were the number two consumer of Spam (the food), who is number one?

Isabel -- San Clemente

Clay Isabel,

Goodness dearie the number one consumer of this canned delicacy are Hawaiians!

Here’s to Spam!    Endora

Endora,

I want to take my family to Disneyland. This will be our first visit in many years as adults, but my children’s first visit ever. Where should we stay and are there good bargains out there?

Jessica – California

Jessica sweetie,

My ultimate favorite place to stay when I visit Disneyland is the Grand California Resort. Nothing else compares. This is the only resort that is actually located in the park, so walking is reduced to a minimum. I assure you that your trip to Disneyland will be nothing short of extraordinary when you stay at one of the Disneyland resort hotels. Remember you will be surrounded by the magic 24/7. Take my advice sweetie and splurge, stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort! And best of all the resorts are offering fabulous savings through 2008!

Hope this helps!

   Enjoy! Endora.

Dear Endora,

What is the difference between the Eastern and Western Caribbean?

Charles – Kentucky

Dear Charles,

This is terminology used by the cruise lines.

In the Caribbean you have the Leeward Islands which are the northern islands of the Lesser Antilles chain of islands which is part of the West Indies. These islands include: the USVI (St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, Water Island); BVI (Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke); Anquilla; Saint Martin/St. Maarten; Saint Barthelemy; Saba; St. Eustatius; Saint Kitts; Nevis; Barbuda; Antigua; Redonda; Montserrat; Guadeloupe.

The Windward Islands are the southern islands of the Lesser Antilles chain of islands which is part of the West Indies. These islands include: Barbados; Martinique; Saint Lucia; Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Grenada; Trinidad and Tobago.
