Jamaica – Once You Go You Know
In order to best serve our clients, Incredible Journey agents participate in continual training related to the travel industry. This year alone I’ve completed 36 training modules, three of which were destination or product familiarization trips.
One of my favorite places to visit is Jamaica. The warm crystal clear waters and powdery white sand beaches are simply the best. Recently I was invited by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) to visit this lovely jewel of an island. Did you know Jamaica’s slogan is “Once you go, you’ll know?” Below is my take on the destination and my recent experience.
I have always been an aficionado of Sandals Resorts – and for good reason. You can go zip lining through the Blue Mountains, visit historical and cultural sites such as a Rastafarian Indigenous Village, tour lush botanical gardens or visit a Rum distillery. Climbing Dunn’s River Waterfalls is always exhilarating as is snorkeling in the warm crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Playing pirate on the ever so popular Pirate cruises is always something to do at least one time... And if this isn’t enough Jamaica has its own water park appropriately named Kool Runnings.
From the coast of Negril where you will find miles and miles of beaches to the lush tropical oasis of Ocho Rios, to the first ever developed resort area of Port Antonio – JAMAICA has something for everyone. I highly recommend Jamaica as a destination to go on holiday – the people are oh so friendly, the food fabulous, resorts first class, beaches are white as snow and powdery soft, the waters are clear and warm – what an incredible location!
