Fiji enjoys a tropical climate year round and rarely gets over 95 degrees in the summertime, which for us in the northern hemisphere is our winter. The heaviest rains in Fiji occur from December – February, however being a tropical destination showers can appear during the day throughout the year!

I will have to say that my absolute favorite luau is the Smith Family luau – this is unlike any other luau you have been to. The entire family takes part, plus many ohana (extended) family to make this a great show for all. It is located on the Wailua River where the fern grotto is located. They also offer boat rides up to the fern grotto. But the luau includes all nationalities that helped form the culture in Hawaii today – this means they have added Chinese, Japanese and Phillipino cultures. The food is good as well!

Dear Grayson,

You are too right – the internet has a world of information out there and with so many choices it can be frustrating! I check kayak.com or any of the online mega sites, then I go to the airline that displays the least expensive air and ALWAYS book direct through the airline. Of course if you don't want the hassle of this endeavor our agents are always willing to help, however they do charge a nominal fee to book airline tickets.
