Ask Endora

Dear Endora,

When I come to Hawaii will the ocean really be as blue as it appears in the photos on your website?

Savannah – Arizona

Dear Savannah,

My answer dear is YES! It all has to do with the red algae which absorbs the red/orange color in sunlight – thus making the ocean blue. If the water is shallow the sandy bottom reflects light to make it more turquoise, and the deeper the water the darker the blue.

Have a fabulous time in Hawaii,

Dear Endora,

What is the weather like in Fiji and when is the rainy season?

Beth

Dear Beth,

The weather is quite lovely in Fiji – it has an ideal South Seas climate. Summer can get warm, low 90’s but the trades which originate fro the east/southeast is natures air conditioning and cools temps down in the afternoon. The wettest weather is from December – February which is Fijian summer and the warmest months of the year.

Dear Endora,

My wife and I have never cruised before. We have been considering a Caribbean cruise as a way to relax this year. Is the Caribbean a good destination for our first cruise? There are so many options how can we know we are getting the best value?

Desperate in Utah

Dear Desperate in Utah,

The Caribbean is the most popular cruise destination for travelers, and would be a perfect destination for you to experience your “first” cruise. Caribbean cruises allow you to bask in the warmth of the Caribbean sun, visit exotic ports of call that you can see in one day, and then relax back on the ship as you sail off into the sunset. When comparing Caribbean cruises to land based vacations the cruise lines offer the best value by far.

Having traveled to the Caribbean countless times I would highly encourage you to choose itineraries featuring less-traveled islands for better shore side experiences. When you are the only ship in port you can be assured you will receive the best treatment everywhere you go. Many of the ships that visit the smaller islands are a bit more romantic in nature so keep that in mind when looking at your options.

If you are more interested in what the ship has to offer there are wonderful mega liners that have onboard activities that are out of this world! There are many choices, so do your research and make sure to call our Master Cruise Counselor to help in your selection process.

   Bon voyage! Endora
