Ask Endora

Dear Endora,

How hot is the lava in Hawaii?

Brad - Michigan

Dear Brad,

In Hawaii at Kilauea Volcano, the lava is typically arouond 2100 - 2200 degrees fahrenheit when it is flowing, and then cools off during various stages of its progression.

It is a sight to behold and if you get close enough to the flows you can actually feel the heat from quite a far off distance!

Endora

Dear Endora,

I would like to take my family on a nice vacation this year and would like to know if there is a better time to travel to Hawaii when the prices are reduced?

Cost conscious

Dear Cost conscious,

What a great question - and the answer is YES, there are special times during the year that you will save money.

For Hawaii the better cost saving months are mid April, most of May, then September - mid December. But the very, very best deals typically are in the month of May and in November before Thanksgiving and after Thanksgiving up to mid December. Most people don't want to travel between these two holidays and this is where you will find the best savings - and the weather is still fabulous is Hawaii!

Happy Travels,

Dear Endora,

I would like to celebrate my honeymoon in Tahiti and stay in an over water bungalow, is this going to cost a fortune?

Stacey - Maine

Dear Stacey,

Well Stacey I can tell you have impeccable taste. You probably know that the over water bungalows are some of the most expensive room categories, but they are truly romantic and are what everyone envisions of a South Pacific fantasy.

Fear not, there are always specials to be had and you just need to ask as they change all the time. Right now we have a stay five nights/pay three nights special at the Bora Bora Intercontinental Le Moana and Thalasso Resorts, this is a huge savings and can mean all the difference in the world for some honeymooners.

I encourage you to contact Joyce Craddock, our Tahiti Specialist, regarding this and other South Pacific specials - jc@incrediblejourney.net.

Best Regards,
