Another Fabulous Dream Experience on SeaDream Yacht Club

I recently returned from an 8-day luxury yachting voyage onboard SeaDream II, visiting several small ports throughout the Caribbean. Having now cruised over 30 times on numerous cruise lines I can say unequivocally that this was one of the best cruises I’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere on a small ship is intimate and relaxed; the service is highly personalized. It’s much different than sailing on a large cruise ship. I had fabulous travel partners for this incredible journey and the people we went with and those we met onboard ship, both among passengers and crew, were fantastic and made the voyage another truly memorable experience.

SeaDream offers great value when all included items and high quality of amenities, food and service are considered. On our voyage there were 102 passengers and 93 crew members. Talk about outstanding service; this was truly a dream experience.

SeaDream yachting is different from big ship cruising. Unlike cruises, passengers are pampered by SeaDream’s award–winning service and cuisine. You can be as active or as relaxed as you want to be while experiencing the ultimate in luxury, privacy and personalization.

SeaDream visits the intimate yachting playgrounds, harbors and ports where large cruise ships cannot go. April – November in Europe and the Mediterranean and November – April, in the Caribbean.

“It’s yachting, not cruising” and you may never want to go on a cruise ship again.

Below is the itinerary for my recent adventure.

The inclusive nature of the yachting voyage offered by SeaDream Yacht Club provides great value to passengers, many (more than half) of which were repeat travelers on SeaDream. The price includes 5-star service and cuisine, liquor (there is also a private stock that can be purchased), use of the many water toys kept aboard ship (mountain bikes are also available), light entertainment, fitness center, etc.

We had wonderful weather throughout the trip, though it was breezy one night when we were eating topside. Passengers enjoyed participating in the many water sports, island tours, and fabulous private champagne and caviar splash beach party on Jost Van Dyke. There was plenty for all to do, even if the choice was to remain onboard the yacht and take advantage of all that is provided for the passengers. This trip was supposed to be a “spa” vacation for me; filled with gym and pool workouts, spa treatments, reading and relaxing in the warm Caribbean sun, and dining with family and special friends. Unfortunately, I sprained my ankle three days into the trip and was forced to spend the rest of the trip relaxing. Besides that small mishap, a wonderful yachting experience was had by all.

Imagine sleeping under the stars on one of the available Balinese beds. We arranged a slumber party for a group of ten for our overnight stay in St. Barts Thursday night but rain kept us inside. One night we enjoyed watching Adele in Concert on the pool deck. What a glorious and fun evening was had by all under the stars. Pure heaven.

Below are some highlights of the surprises passengers received on the voyage while a SeaDream guest:

  • Champagne and fresh flowers on arrival.
  • Bathroom amenities from Paris, Bvlgari, ahhhhh.
