A Dream Experience on SeaDream
I recently returned from a 7-day
luxury yachting voyage onboard SeaDream II, visiting several
small ports throughout the Caribbean. Having now cruised over
30 times on numerous cruise lines I can say unequivocally that this
was one of two best cruises I’ve ever experienced. I had
a fabulous travel partner for the trip and the people we met aboard
ship, both among passengers and crew, were fantastic and made the voyage
truly special.
SeaDream offers great value when all included items and high quality of amenities, food and service are considered. On our voyage there were 84 passengers and 95 crew. Talk about outstanding service; this was truly a dream experience.
SeaDream yachting is different from big ship cruising. Unlike cruises, passengers are pampered by SeaDream’s award–winning service and cuisine. You can be as active or as relaxed as you want to be while experiencing the ultimate in luxury, privacy and personalization.
SeaDream visits the intimate yachting playgrounds, harbors and ports where large cruise ships cannot go. April – November in Europe and the Mediterranean and November – April, in the Caribbean.
“It’s yachting, not cruising” and you may never want to go on a cruise ship again.

The inclusive nature of the yachting voyage offered by SeaDream Yacht Club provides great value to passengers, many of which were repeat travelers on SeaDream. The price includes 5-star service and cuisine, liquor (though there is a private stock that can be purchased), use of the many water toys kept aboard ship (mountain bikes are also available), light entertainment, fitness center, etc. See below for more specific details.
We had good weather for most of the trip although sporadic rain was experienced the last two days of our adventure. Still, the inclement weather did not hamper participation in the many water sports, island tours, and the fabulous private champagne and caviar beach party on Saturday. There was plenty for all to do, even if it was to remain onboard the yacht and take advantage of all that is provided for the passengers.
Imagine sleeping under the stars on one of the available Balinese beds. We had a slumber party arranged for Friday night but we were rained out. We’ve decided we must return to do that next year; yep, “same time next year” was our mantra throughout the week. One night we enjoyed a two and a half hour Paul McCartney concert on the pool deck. What a glorious and fun evening under the stars, anchored in a small bay in the Caribbean. Pure heaven.
Some of the tours we participated in were “once in a lifetime” experiences. The dolphin discovery adventure was my best ever and being the Captain and one of four primary grinders aboard the Stars and Stripes on our winning ride for the America’s Cup was truly sensational.
