Ask Endora

Dear Endora,

I am getting ready to be nominated leader of putting together our large family vacation. I have heard from friends that this is a huge undertaking and getting everyone coordinated for payments can be a nightmare. When I use the services of Incredible Journey can multiple payments be made by several family members?

Getting Organized!

Dear Getting Organized,

My word YES! First I would like to say, “hats off to you for taking on this job.” Please be assured that a true travel professional will be able to organize your family vacation so that each member of your family will know what is owed, which property they are staying at, airfare arrangements etc. This is what our travel professionals do and will make this daunting task appear like a walk in the park! Once back from vacation I know you will appreciate the services of our consultants for helping to create a memorable family vacation that your family will accredit to your wise and witty way!

Happy planning,
   Endora

Dear Endora,

We want to go to Alaska but I am so frustrated. I don't understand why there are so many price options to consider. Can you help me understand because I'm really confused?

Dear confused,

And this is the reason why you should consult a cruise specialist - cruising appears easy, but it takes a trained professional to sort though all the details! Your question is asked quite often, and we sense great frustration from many would be cruisers who have spent hours researching on websites only to find out that they are not on the quality of vessel they would have opted for had they "known" better. In a nutshell, class of service will dictate price, high season/low season itineraries will dictate price, tour packages will affect the price (you will often times get a better value booking a "package" rather than not), embarkation port will dictate the price, size of ship will dictate the price (large ships are more economical, small ships are more expensive and offer the best itinerary for a once in a lifetime experience). If you have a set cruise in mind and are picky on the location of your stateroom you will want to book in advance to get the best pricing and availability. Sometimes last minute specials offer great value, but these require the traveler to be very flexible as you will not have many choices.

Alaska, the Last Frontier, is breathtakingly beautiful and one of my favorite cruise destinations. I strongly encourage you to work with Pat, Incredible Journey's Master Cruise Counselor, to help you create the ultimate cruise to Alaska!

Happy cruising!    Endora

Dear Endora,

I am in the initial stages of planning a wedding to Hawaii. There is so much information out there, where should I start?

Giselle – Iowa

Dear Giselle,

The internet is a grand source of information, albeit sometimes overwhelming. One great site to explore is: www.gohawaii.com - this is the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau website.

If you already know which island you want your wedding on you can link to that specific island from the website above.

If you are planning a destination wedding that will include hotel rooms I would seek out a travel company that specializes in Hawaii so that they will be a liaison between you and the resort. This is a great way to get free help when you need it most! And remember our company, Incredible Journey provides these types of services for Hawaii, Mexico and cruises.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding,
   Endora.
