Dear Joyce,
With internet travel sites growing to mega
proportions, many of you might ask -
What are the benefits of using a travel professional
compared to the internet?
The internet can be a powerful resource tool. For
those of you that like to
moonlight as travel advisors and plan your family's
getaways this can be fun and
a way to let your creative juices flow. I say that
if it makes you happy - Go
for it! At some point, however, before reserving
your dream vacation I strongly
advise you to consult a destination travel
professional. Destination specialists
have been to their areas of expertise, have seen the
properties they recommend,
have dined at the local restaurants, and taken the
tours. They know whether the
so called "fabulous white sand beach" you
have found on the internet really
exists.
A professional travel consultant knows where to look
for value, what questions
to ask, and is trained to guide clients through the
entire process of planning a
trip. Professional travel consultants take classes
to increase their product
knowledge, participate in seminars, and are indeed
specialists. Travel is very
detailed and there are many facets involved in
planning a vacation in order to
make it flawless for travelers. It might appear
easy, but once you call it your
profession, you will find out very quickly that it
is very involved.
Next time you speak with your travel professional I
suggest you let them know
exactly what you expect from a vacation and then let
their creative juices flow.
Isn't this one of the main reasons you contact a
travel professional - for their
expert advice?

late

Disney's 50th celebration before space is
gone
- Reserve that well
deserved cruise for next year to guarantee cabin
space and dates. Ask us about the benefits of a

Ask Endora |
|
Dear Endora,
My wife wants to know if we can
bring our pet with us on vacation. Are there any
places (Hawaii,
Mexico, or somewhere tropical) that are pet
friendly?
Rich
Dear Rich,
Dear Rich,
You can bring your pet on vacation to Hawaii if it
has all shots and a chip. However, I am not sure
where you would stay since no vacation rentals,
where I would stay, allow pets. I have a small pet
with a wardrobe which I don't even take on vacation.
Would not take a pet to Mexico at all...European
vacations, yes possibly, but again it would be
terrible to try checking into accommodations only to
find out that Fido is not allowed.
