Greetings!
This year has been very busy at Incredible Journey.
We are growing and are pleased to announce a new
addition to our team, Paula Mooney. Paula will be
facilitating our operations and will soon join our
Hawaii specialist team. Throughout the year, our
agents have been attending destination specific
seminars, cruising on a myriad of ships and visiting
destinations both familiar and new to us.
This year Patricia, our Master Cruise Counselor, has
sailed on Carnival, Princess and Holland America
Cruise lines. In addition to her many voyages,
Patricia also visited Jamaica, sponsored by Sandals
(did you know she is our certified Sandals specialist?)
traveled to Hawaii - specifically Kauai and Oahu, and
will be spending almost three weeks revisiting six
islands in Tahiti.
Vicki Sanders, one of our Hawaii specialists and an
avid hiker and kayaker, has visited the islands
numerous times. Most recently she attended an
intensive educational week on Oahu sponsored by
the Oahu Visitors Bureau and the American Society
of Travel Agents - ASTA (this is quite an honor as
they only select qualified agents to join these
events).
Joyce Craddock, the CEO of Incredible Journey, has
been quite busy as well this year. As well as
completely
updating our
website,
www.incrediblejourney.net, she traveled with
Patricia to Kauai to view many of our privately owned
homes, and met with the owners and managment
companies of these homes. She also attended the
Oahu Visitors Bureau and ASTA sponsored event on
Oahu with Vicki Sanders. Joyce will be traveling with
Patricia to Tahiti for three weeks in December (Joyce
and Patricia are our Tiare specialists). Out of the
norm for Joyce was her highly anticipated journey to
Prague. Contact Joyce regarding her lively and

city.

It is late in the year and soon all eyes in Hawaii
will be on the lookout for the telltale signs that
the humpback whales have returned. December marks
that beginning of whale season and the humpbacks
will be there by the thousands. Each December they
migrate 3,000 miles from their summer home in Alaska
to court, mate, and give birth in the region’s warm
waters.

In this series I have talked about global warming
and that it is a fact not a myth, whether caused by
natural phenomenon or aided by man's industrialism
we are all experiencing the effects of it today. I
have reported that many people and organizations
worldwide are giving back to communities and
heritage sites in ways that will have a profound
effect on the environment. This article notes
destinations and sites that are now endangered.
It doesn't mean that the sites will be lost forever
because the World Monument Fund and UNESCO are
working tirelessly to preserve the world's heritage
and their success rate is quite high, at over 75%.
