Dear Joyce,
When making reservations for travel next year expect
to pay higher prices
and flights to be fuller. The main reason for the
increase in price is 20%
more people are traveling now than pre September
11th levels, and since that
fatal attack the airlines have reduced flights and
routes to destinations in
order to keep planes full.
Some tips for booking travel that will net you the
best availability and
value for just about anywhere are try to fly mid
week (Monday - Thursday);
pick a less popular time in the day to fly;
sometimes more connections mean
a better fare; book at least 10 months in advance if
possible; if traveling
during the holidays and you want to use frequent
flyer miles book one year
in advance and if your primary carrier is sold out
ask about partner
airlines. Remember if you have a zillion miles you
can always book anytime
awards for a premium and fly on any open segment (I
know American and United
provide this option).
If you are an internet fare browser I have found
that once you see a great
fare for an airline go to that airlines website as
the fare most likely will
be lower plus if you have to cancel you won't get
hit with two penalties
(one by the online company and one by the airline).
Of course we would hope our clients would at least
compare Incredible
Journey's rates. The advantage of booking with
Incredible Journey is that we
work with wholesalers and will 90% of the time have
the best prices to
offer, we can offer insurance on the fares (if not
published) and for
published fares we typically work directly with the
airlines, which means if
you have to change or cancel you pay the fee charged
by the airline only.
Hope this information was helpful and sheds some
light on the ever changing
and sometimes all too frustrating process of booking
airfare!
Top Hawaii Beaches |
|
Hawaii is home to some of the best beaches in the
world. There are those beaches whose backdrop is
intense and dramatic scenery, others boast gorgeous
crystal clear reef protected waters with a myriad of
turquoise blue hues, some are remote and are only
reachable by boat/hiking or helicopter. But the one
thing in common with all the “top” beaches is that
they are unanimously chosen time and time again by
visitors to the islands as well as locals.

Global Warming Exists! |
|
Global Warming and travel is a three part series,
written by Joyce Craddock, describing the truth that
this phenomenon is a reality and does exist, what we
as good citizens of the earth can do about it, and
which areas are at threat of becoming extinct or are
endangered.
We all know the world is experiencing a warming
trend. It doesn’t matter whose fault it is – mankind
or natural phenomenon, what matters is it is
happening. With agrarian societies becoming
industrialized, third world countries becoming more
capitalistic, and a massive increase in travelers,
806 million this past year, spanning the globe in
search of the unknown we all should have an extreme
desire to save the world we know from extinction.
