The Paul Gauguin was designed specifically for sailing French
Polynesia year-round. She offers an extension of the informal, relaxing
environment of the islands, with Radisson Seven Seas' interpretation of
six-star service, comfort and luxury. Spacious staterooms, a watersports
marina, a choice of three single seating dining venues and an extensive
spa are among her six-star attributes. The atmosphere aboard radiates
warmth and informality. And her beloved troupe of Gauguines - part
cruise staff, part entertainers, part storytellers, add the unique
personality of French Polynesia to every cruise.
The beautiful ocean-view staterooms and suites, 50% with private
balconies, have interiors that are enriched by classic crown moldings and
warm, cherry-colored wood, finely crafted furnishings throughout,
spacious wardrobe and a vanity/desk, queen bed, marble-appointed bath
with full-sized tub and shower, a sitting area and plentiful storage.
Amenities include cotton robes, hair dryer, TV/ VCR, a refrigerator
stocked with soft drinks and mineral water, a complimentary bar set-up
with wine or liquor upon embarkation and 24-hour room service.
With a guest ratio of 1 to 1.5 and only 320 special guests you can be
assured of attentive service from a caring staff. Service is of utmost
importance on the Paul Gauguin and you'll notice it in the way the
Maitre d' remembers your name, in the extra personal attention you
receive from the divemaster when you're learning to scuba and in the
warmth of your stewardess' "bonjour" as she places a perfect ripe mango
in your fruit basket. Yet, surprisingly, gratuities are never expected.
Watersports are a highlight of the Polynesian experience. The ship's
small size allows it to navigate in shallow lagoons and narrow channels
where larger ships may not sail. With the specially designed retractable
watersports platform, guests may descend to sea level where they can
conveniently hop aboard a windsurfer, launch a kayak, try a little
waterskiing or set out for a SCUBA diving expedition. A scuba
certification program is offered on board.
Play table tennis on deck. Shop for a flower-splashed pareu top to wear
to the pool party in the duty-free boutique, or take a lesson in the
technique of paddling an outrigger canoe. A wide selection of books is
available in the Reading Gallery and videotapes may be rented at the
Reception Area on a complimentary basis.
Sail the seas of the South Pacific in the lap of luxury aboard the Paul
